My name is Eliza von Zerneck, and I'm the operations and inventory intern here at The Nest. I've been committed to secondhand fashion for the past year and a half while I've been running my own sustainable accessories brand called Picnic Palace, where I make handcrafted crowns, purses, and other strange wares out of salvaged and repurposed materials. I also have a degree in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design, and I've done several commissioned murals for my hometown of Peoria, Illinois, where I lived for 3 years after graduating. I moved back to Providence in October of 2021, and I've been working at The Nest ever since! I'm thrilled to have found a group of like-minded creatives who are as dedicated to sustainability and community as I am.
