♪♫♬LISTEN TO THE SELVAGE FASHION SHOW OFFICIAL PLAYLIST♪♫♬
On Saturday, October 26th, we proudly hosted our debut sustainable fashion show, SELVAGE: A Sustainable Style Showcase & Fashion Show, on our outdoor runway. With over 200 attendees, 14 local sustainable fashion designers presented more than 70+ unique looks, showcasing the exciting possibilities of eco-conscious style. Interestingly, a playful theme of "clowning around" emerged, with many collections drawing inspiration from clown culture and jester performance in their designs and walks.

Starting at 5 p.m., guests enjoyed a curated experience with delicious empanadas from Empanada Assassin, cocktails by the RI Cruisin' Cocktail trailer, and an array of sustainable fashion vendors, including One OAK Artwear, Muffy Brandt, Safety Pin Era, ZIZIN X CHUNG, Playclothes by Charlie Best, Designed From Within Jewelry, CANT SEE SUNSETS, and 3Veryday $triving. The crowd soaked in the vinyl sounds of Joe Lou and Billy Wirasnik, setting the perfect vibe for the main event.
At 7 p.m., the runway came alive with an impressive variety of sustainable fashion. The collections included everything from naturally dyed silk garments and bleach-dyed power gowns to ’80s/’90s nostalgia pieces upcycled into wearable clothing, and even quilts transformed into jackets. Every look was a testament to creativity and culture.
The runway show, lasting an hour, featured more than 70 looks to the beats of local DJ Unabletoeven. The event, hosted by the incredible Louise Sutton, gave the audience not only a visual treat but also insights into each designer's inspiration and sustainable approach.

We’re thrilled to push boundaries in the fashion industry, proving that style can be both sustainable and stunning, all while uplifting designers within our community. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with one guest noting, “This fashion show is pushing the boundaries of sustainable fashion and fashion events in New England. Not only was the event a success, but its impact on our local community’s consciousness around fashion sustainability is measurable.”
