We are currently intaking new mending projects daily.
Our Tailor Shop is currently only accepting long form complex projects such as bridal alterations, custom or reconstruction or upcycling work. If your projects fit into one of these categories please inquire with us here.
Why can't we take tailoring orders? Our Tailor Shop is at capacity and we are currently hiring Associate Tailors to take on more projects. You can apply here.

Mending Services
What we mend:
*Seam repair for tears along a seam or for broken threads in an existing seam
*Button hook & eye replacement or reinforcement
*Large hole darning in garments and sweaters
*Tiny moth holes
*Old school patches for holes not on the seam of a garment
*Thread patches for rips in denim, workwear, crotch repairs, etc.
*Zipper pull repair or replacement (pull only, no damage to zipper teeth or tape)
*Embroidered patches if you'd like to add a design or beautifully cover a flaw in a garment
*Sashiko repair
How Mending Works
*Bring your mending projects to The Nest PVD (open everyday 11am-7pm)
*Meet with our Sales Associate to intake your project, you will get a quote, and you will leave your items with us.
*Our in-house Mending Technicians will mend your clothing with a turn around time of 2-4 weeks.
*You will receive text messages from our Technicians if they have any questions while working on your order. Or to confirm the mend and estimate you were given.
*You will receive a text message as soon as it is ready to pick up.
*You pay at pick up

Julia Medeiros
Specialties: custom women's ready-to-wear, formal & occasion wear
Julia is a technical apparel designer, and has been a professional sewist for 25 years. She has run her own sewing studios in Ukraine, Portugal, California, and now here in Rhode Island. Julia specializes in almost everything: from custom clothing, to alterations and repairs, to working with drapery and leather.
