CRAFT CLUB ON THE LAWN
Join The Nest and the Newport Art Museum for Craft Club on the Lawn- a weekly summer gathering for makers of all kinds. Bring your knitting, sketchbook, embroidery, collage, crochet, or any creative project and spend the evening crafting in community on the museum lawn.
Led by textile lover Keelin Maloney
Tuesdays starting June 2nd, from 5-6:30pm at The Newport Art Museum.
SUMMER PONCHO CROCHET CLASS
It's poncho summer! Spend your Monday evenings outside in Dexter Park for 5 weeks and leave with a one of a kind, customizable poncho. Open to all levels of crocheters.
Taught by textile lover Keelin Maloney
Mondays, starting June 8th, from 6-8pm at Dexter Park in Providence, RI.
If it rains, class will meet at The Nest PVD.
NPT COMMUNITY MENDING CIRCLE
Join The Nest and the Newport Art Museum for Community Mending Circle, a monthly gathering dedicated to repairing, refreshing, and extending the life of your favorite clothes. Bring your socks with holes, missing buttons, ripped denim, stained tees, or well-loved sweaters and learn simple hand-mending techniques in a welcoming community setting.

Third Wednesday of the month starting June 17th, from 5-7pm at The Newport Art Museum.
DARNING WORKSHOP
Learn to repair clothing, reduce textile waste, and extend the life of your favorite garments. Over the course of two hours, you and up to seven other participants will learn the basics of darning.
Taught by professional mender Carlin Ash.

WIP WEDNESDAYS
A monthly event used to share your works in progress and talk to your crafting community at Dexter Park!
Participants are encouraged to bring their Works in Progress (WIPs) to show off, get advice, or just work on in a group of other crafters! All handcrafts are encouraged.
Last Wednesday of the month throughout the summer
June 24th, July 29th & August 26th from 6-8pm.
