Repairs, Alterations & Custom Clothing

Tailoring & Mending Services

We are currently only accepting MENDING PROJECTS ONLY.

How do I know if I have a tailoring or mending project?

MENDING

Mending repairs damage like holes, tears, broken zippers, or worn seams to extend the life of your clothing.

How Our Service Works

*Bring your mending projects to The Nest PVD on any

Monday, Wednesday, Friday, or last Saturday of the month from 12pm-5pm.

*Meet with our Mending Technician to intake your project and get a quote.

* Depending on the size of your project, it will be completed on the day of or within 2 weeks.

*You pay at pick up / completion of the project.

TAILORING

Tailoring adjusts the fit, shape, or silhouette of a garment to better suit your body and style. Examples include hemming pants, taking in a waist, shortening sleeves, or resizing pieces.

Why is our Tailor Shop closed?

Because we are struggling to hire skilled tailors and alteration specialists to keep up with demand. Across the United States, experienced tailors are retiring faster than new trained professionals are entering the trade, leaving a workforce gap for this work.

What are we doing about it?

We are launching a workforce development training program. Tailoring Academy is a professional tailoring & sewing technology program designed to prepare participants for careers in tailoring, garment alteration, and sewing production.
